CIFO Art Space is a state-of-the-art venue in downtown Miami that presents contemporary art exhibitions from the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection, works by the foundation’s grantees and commissioned artists, and experimental art programming. CIFO’s galleries and piazza provide a dynamic gathering place for cultural exchange and dialogue between the city of Miami and the international art community. Originally built in 1936, the former warehouse that houses CIFO underwent a dramatic redesign in 2005. Ella Fontanals-Cisneros joined efforts with architect René González to create a warm and vibrant environment dedicated to the arts. Winner of a 2006 AIA Design Award, the building features a dramatic façade of multicolored Bisazza tiles that create a stunning bamboo motif. Inside, CIFO’s galleries provide an ideal raw space for displaying art and hosting special events.

From the West
Take 836 EAST and merge onto I-395 EAST toward MIAMI BEACH. Take the NE 2nd AVE exit (EXIT 2B) towards US1/BISCAYNE BLVD. Merge onto the NE 2nd AVE ramp and turn right onto NE 11 ST, then turn left onto N MIAMI AVE. cifo is located at 1018 North Miami Avenue.
From the South
Take US-1/US DIXIE HWY northbound and merge onto I-95 northbound. Take the 1st Miami Beach ramp, the I-395, (EXIT 2D) towards MIAMI BEACH.
